Adam Caplan – web.isod.es Founder and Principal Storyteller
(He/Him) Over his two-decade career, Adam Caplan has held roles as Creative Director (Video & UXD) for digital signage pioneer EK3, Executive Site Producer at hsn.com in St. Petersburg, Florida, and has lectured on e-commerce strategy at Western University for over a decade. Prior to that, Adam lived in Los Angeles, where he worked as a consultant in emerging media for agencies and studios.
Adam currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Board of Directors for The Independent Web Series Creators of Canada, and recently completed a 6-year term serving as a Director on the Board of Ontario Creates (formerly The Ontario Media Development Corporation). He previously served as the Chair of the City of London’s Screen-Based Industry Task Force and on the Boards of London’s own Grand Theatre and Museum London, founding and chairing two committees during his six-year term. He co-founded the UnLondon Digital Media Association, and has sat on London’s Mayor’s Economic Council and Emerging Leaders’ Sustainability Advisory Committee.
Adam graduated from the California Institute of the Arts with a BFA in Live Action Video, and earned a post-graduate diploma in screenwriting and dramatic theory from the Interlochen Arts Academy. He is proud to call London, Ontario his home.
Sammy Roach – Senior Creator
(She/Her) Sammy holds a BA in Film Studies and Media, Information and Technoculture as well as a Certificate in Writing from Western University, and a Visual Effects and Editing for Contemporary Media postgraduate degree from Fanshawe College. She has several years of nonlinear editing and motion graphic experience.
Sammy joined web.isod.es to combine her love for post production with her passion for community-building. She is currently Vice President of the Board of Directors for the LondonFuse New Media Collective and editor of the online LondonFuse publication. She is also active in London’s zinemaking and indie comics community.
Mallory Brown – Creator
(She/Her) Mallory graduated from the Radio Broadcasting & Public Relations – Corporate Communications program at Fanshawe College. Upon graduation, she was invited to intern at London’s Grand Theatre, and subsequently was hired by the organization at the end of her internship, and within a year was appointed to the position of Digital Media Coordinator, where she developed, executed and shared all digital marketing content for the organization. Her role at the Grand Theatre propelled her career forward, resulting in work with theatre companies across the country. Mallory recently joined the team at web.isod.es to pursue her love for storytelling at the national level.
