Syd Field's Paradigm
The 'secret' formula that lies at the heart of most hollywood movies, Syd Field's paradigm has been the screenwriter's best frend for more than a generation. His paradigm can be adapted for shorter-form media such as podcasting and video blogging.

Creative Commons
The Creative Commons is a licensing framework that provides 'open source'-style content. The licensing model allows the author to determine how their royalty-free content is to be used. This means that for many non-commercial podcasters, music, images and even video are availble for free (as in beer). There are some that are available for commercial use. Check the terms for each before using.

CC Mixter
This is a site completely devoted to Creative Commons 'open source' music. Both commercial use, and non-commercial are available, and some are available for re-mixing as well.
